Warm days ahead as temperatures creep back up: Alicante weather forecast September 21-24

Plenty of sunshine is on the way and temperatures  will reach the low 30s in parts of the Alicante Province

After the storms and heavy rain seen across parts of the province last week, the weather is looking much calmer across Alicante this week. Temperatures will climb into the low 30s in some areas, although there will be a little more cloud around at times, particularly along the coast. Let's take a look at the weather from Monday to Thursday:

Monday September 21

Monday will be mostly clear across Alicante Province, although there will be some cloud along parts of the coast. Temperatures will begin to rise, with Alcoy reaching 27°C. Alicante city will reach 29°C, while Dénia will reach 28°C. Elche and Orihuela will both reach 30°C.

Minimum temperatures will range from 14°C in Alcoy to 19°C in Dénia. Alicante city will have a low of 18°C, while Elche will drop to 16°C and Orihuela to 17°C.

Winds will be light and variable, becoming easterly around midday.

Tuesday September 22

Tuesday will be mostly clear, although cloud cover will increase during the day and skies could become cloudier around midday. Temperatures will rise further, with Alcoy reaching 30°C. Alicante city will reach 30°C, while Dénia, Elche and Orihuela will all reach 32°C. Minimum temperatures will range from 16°C in Alcoy to 19°C in Alicante city and Dénia. Elche and Orihuela will both have lows of 17°C.

Winds will be light from the west in the morning, turning southeast around lunchtime.

Wednesday September 23

Wednesday will be another mostly clear day, with temperatures easing slightly in most parts of the Province. The exception will be Orihuela Costa, where temperatures are expected to remain similar to Tuesday. Alcoy will reach 28°C, while Alicante city will reach 29°C. Dénia will reach 28°C, while Elche and Orihuela will both reach 31°C.

Minimum temperatures will range from 15°C in Alcoy to 20°C in Alicante city. Dénia will have a low of 19°C, while Elche and Orihuela will both drop to 17°C.

Winds will be light and variable during the morning, turning easterly around midday.

Thursday September 24

Thursday will be mostly clear, with some low cloud or mist along the southern coast during the morning. Temperatures will rise again in some areas, with Alcoy reaching 30°C and Alicante city reaching 29°C. Dénia will reach 30°C, while Elche and Orihuela will both reach 31°C.

Minimum temperatures will range from 16°C in Alcoy to 20°C in Alicante city. Dénia will have a low of 18°C, while Elche and Orihuela will both drop to 17°C.

Winds will be light and variable for most of the day.

Autumn officially arrives this week, bringing shorter days and longer evenings, but there is still plenty of sunshine and warm weather to enjoy across Alicante Province.
