September heat continues to build: Alicante weekend weather forecast September 3-6
Temperatures will continue to rise over the coming days, with parts of Alicante Province reaching 37°C by Friday

It looks like summer is here to stay with temperatures on the rise across Alicante Province, and that trend is set to continue over the next few days. While it will be a little cooler along the coast, inland areas will see temperatures climb into the mid-30s, with AEMET forecasting 37°C in Alcoy on Friday and 36°C in Orihuela on Saturday.
Here is the daily breakdown for Alicante Province from Thursday, September 3 to Sunday, September 6:
Thursday September 3
Thursday will be mostly clear across Alicante Province, although there will be some cloud along the coast during the morning. Temperatures will reach 35°C in Alcoy, 34 °C in Orihuela, and 33 °C in Elche. Alicante city and Dénia will both reach 31°C.
Winds will be light and variable in the morning, becoming easterly around midday and moderate at times during the afternoon.
Friday September 4
Friday will be another mostly clear day, with some cloud possible along parts of the coast during the early hours. Temperatures will continue to rise, with Alcoy reaching 37°C. Elche and Orihuela will both reach 35°C, while Dénia will reach 34°C and Alicante city 32°C.
Winds will be light and variable in the morning, becoming southerly and then easterly around midday, with some stronger winds in the afternoon.
Saturday September 5
Saturday will be mostly clear, although there could be some cloud along the coast again during the morning. Temperatures will reach 36°C in Orihuela, while Alcoy and Elche will both reach 35°C. Alicante city and Dénia will be slightly cooler at 33°C.
Winds will again be light and variable in the morning, becoming southerly and easterly around midday and a bit stronger later on that day.
Sunday September 6
Sunday will be mostly clear, although there will be some cloud during the morning. Temperatures will remain high, with Alcoy, Elche and Orihuela all reaching 35°C. Alicante city and Dénia will both reach 33°C. AEMET is again forecasting significantly high temperatures in inland and prelitoral areas, while coastal areas should be a little more manageable.
Winds will be light and variable in the morning, becoming southerly and easterly around midday, getting strong again later on.
Overall, it looks like Alicante is in for a hot start to the weekend, particularly inland. For now, there is plenty of sunshine on the way and little sign of any significant change in conditions, although anyone heading inland should be prepared for some fairly high temperatures over the weekend.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this week:

Thursday September 3: Min 20; Max 35°C
Friday September 4: Min 21; Max 37°C
Saturday September 5: Min 22; Max 36°C
