Condado Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on Condado Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?

Los Alcázares announces three free spring concerts in the 2026 Intermezzo cycle
Schubert, Bach, Arriaga and Cassadó are among the composers featured at the Town Hall of Los Alcázares
The 2026 “Intermezzo” series of free classical chamber music concerts, the seventh time it has been organized, has been presented in Los Alcázares, featuring 7 events between February and November in which the music of composers such as Schubert, Bach, Arriaga and Cassadó.
Violin, cellos, pianos and saxophones are to the fore as the organizers expect a full house at each of the concerts in the Salón de Plenos of the Town Hall, with the programme featuring the following dates:
Sunday March 15
A selection of expressive and introspective pieces from the 19th century by Franz Schubert are performed by pianist Carlos Santo and Rumen Cvetkov on viola, accompanied by programme organizer Darlin Dyle on violin, cellist Christophe Morin and Andrea Rescaglio on double bass.
Sunday March 22
The “Ethernal” concert presents Bach’s second and third suites as polayed by Gabriel Ureña on the cello, as well as works by Gaspar Cassadó.
Sunday April 12
The third concert in the season is given by the Sine Tempore ensemble, which was founded by Darlin Dyle, and musicians from the Region of Murcia Symphony Orchestra (OSRM). Both Dyle and Desislava Cvetkova play violin and are accompanied by Lesster F. Mejias (viola) and Anastasia Laskova (cello) as they remember the music of Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, sometimes referred to as “The Spanish Mozart”, who died shortly before his 20th birthday in 1826.
Sunday May 10
Dúo Saxperience, consisting of the saxophonist Antonio Cánovas and pianist Elena Miguélez, presents “The Sounds of Sorolla”, a tribute to painter Joaquín Sorolla containing a musical repertoire of pieces by Manuel de Falla, Granados, Ravel, Claude Débussy and Isaac Albéniz in which tangos, jotas, lullabies, and popular songs will be heard.
Sunday June 14
“Prodigios” gives the audience on the shore of the Mar Menor a chance to enjoy the flute of Alexandra Pichurina Esipovich, winner of the 24th Intercentros Melómano prize.
Sunday September 20
Two more young talents, who came second and third in the competition won by Alexandra Pichurina Esipovich, showcase their music: Alexis Pérez (piano) and Paula Palencia (saxophone).
Sunday November 8
The final concert in the season is entitled “Mujeres compositoras” (Women composers) and features the Cuarteto Viardot: Antonio Egea and Abraham Parra (violin), Cristina Regojo (viola) and Inés de Juan (cello).
