From storm alerts to blazing sunshine: Murcia weather forecast September 8-11
After a stormy start to the week, high temperatures will return to the Region of Murcia from Wednesday
Storm alerts on Monday September 8
The weather in the Region of Murcia is set to bring a mix of extremes this week. From storms and rain to blazing sunshine, residents and visitors will need to keep an eye on the skies as conditions are likely to shift quickly.
Monday September 8
On Monday, the heat will be intense with highs reaching around 34ºC or 35ºC. The morning will begin bright but by the afternoon heavy thunderstorms are expected to roll in.
These storms may bring bursts of rain of up to 25 millimetres in just one hour, prompting a yellow alert in the Vega del Segura area, Lorca and Águilas from midday until 9 in the evening. The night will remain warm with lows of 22ºC.
Tuesday September 9
Tuesday will bring relief from the stifling conditions of the day before. The skies will be cloudy and temperatures will fall back to around 26ºC. A few showers are likely across the Region but nothing as intense as Monday’s storms.
With the cooler air and cloud cover it will feel far more comfortable although an umbrella or light rain jacket will come in handy. The temperature overnight will dip to 14ºC which will make for a fresher night’s sleep.
Wednesday September 10
By Wednesday, the unsettled weather will move on and the Region of Murcia will enjoy a return to sunny skies. Temperatures will climb again to around 32ºC although the humidity will drop, making it easier to spend time outside. Brilliant sunshine will dominate the day and with lows of 18ºC during the night it will feel pleasant overall.
Thursday September 11
Thursday will mark another turn towards heat. Sunshine will blanket the Region once again and temperatures will rise to around 34ºC. Night-time temperatures will remain mild at around 19ºC.

- Monday September 8: Min 18ºC; Max 35ºC
- Tuesday September 9: Min 14ºC; Max 28ºC
- Wednesday September 10: Min 13ºC; Max 32ºC
- Thursday September 11: Min 13ºC; Max 35ºC
