Alicante weekend weather October 8-11: Temperatures drop as autumn finally arrives
A cooler end to the week will bring daytime temperatures down into the mid-20s, with mostly clear skies and only a small chance of rain

It might be time to fish those cardigans out from the back of the wardrobe as autumn is finally in the air. Temperatures are expected to drop over the next few days, although we’re still looking at midday highs in the mid-20s across much of Alicante Province. Let's take a look at the daily breakdown:
Thursday October 8
There will be plenty of cloud around on Thursday, with the possibility of light, scattered showers during the afternoon. Temperatures will dip slightly, although it will still be warm in most parts of the province. Alicante will reach 27°C, while Elche and Orihuela will both reach 28°C. Dénia will see a high of 26°C and Alcoy 24°C.
Winds will be light from the northwest at first, becoming moderate from the northeast and east during the afternoon.
Friday October 9
Friday is when the change will really be noticeable, with temperatures falling several degrees across Alicante Province. Alicante City will reach 24°C, while Elche will reach 25°C and Orihuela 26°C. Dénia will see a high of 23°C and Alcoy just 22°C.
The skies will be mostly clear and winds will be light from the northwest, turning easterly along the coast around midday.
Saturday October 10
The weekend will get off to a mostly clear start, with some cloud around but little change in daytime temperatures. Alicante, Elche and Orihuela will all reach 25°C, while Dénia will reach 24°C and Alcoy 22°C. Minimum temperatures will fall slightly, so the mornings and evenings will feel noticeably cooler than they have done recently.
Winds will be light and variable across most of the province, becoming easterly around lunchtime.
Sunday October 11
Sunday will remain fairly mild, with cloud gradually giving way to cloudier skies. Temperatures will change very little, with highs of 27°C in Elche and Orihuela and 26°C in Alicante and Dénia. Alcoy will reach 24°C.
Winds will be light from the west, becoming easterly along the coast around midday
So, while summer temperatures aren't disappearing just yet, there is a definite change on the way. Friday will bring the biggest drop, with daytime temperatures then settling mostly in the mid-20s for the weekend.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this week:

Thursday October 8: Min 14; Max 28°C
Friday October 9: Min 11; Max 26°C
Saturday October 10: Min 11; Max 25°C
Sunday October 11: Min 11; Max 27°C
