VIDEO: British drug baron caught in Benidorm after 4 years on the run
The fugitive from Manchester fled to Alicante in 2020
A Manchester drug dealer, on the run since 2020, has been arrested in Benidorm. The man fled the UK four years ago after being accused of using encrypted communication systems to sell cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines and ketamine and now faces a life sentence in the UK.
Although the system by which he carried out his criminal activities was incredibly sophisticated, the fugitive reportedly used the British postal system to deliver narcotics throughout Manchester.
As the search for the trafficker geared up the UK, several properties belonging to the man were searched, and officers found high-end vehicles, expensive jewellery and other valuable items which suggest the criminal was living the high life.

When no trace of him could be found in Britain, the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) contacted the Spanish National Police in April to advise them to be on the look-out, and the Mancunian was eventually tracked to a hotel in Benidorm.
Officers had to tread carefully, as the fugitive was known to be extremely violent, and there was a chance he could be armed, but he was eventually apprehended earlier this week and will be extradited to the UK for sentencing.
