This is when mosquito spraying will be happening on Mar Menor Golf Resort this month
It will be programmed to take place while most people are sleeping
The residents’ association on the Mar Menor Golf Resort has revealed that the animal pest control company Anticimex will be carrying out mosquito fumigation work this month to combat the proliferation of these bugs on the resort.
Recently, there have been anecdotal accounts of increased numbers of mosquitoes flying around, ostensibly as a result of the very wet weather last week followed by a rise in temperatures this week.
On the Mar Menor Golf Resort, the mosquito spraying will be taking place on Tuesday April 16 between 12.30am and 6am and on Tuesday April 30 at the same times on all the phases of the resort. It has been scheduled for night-time to cause minimum disruption to residents.
The product to be used for the fumigation may cause irritation to the eyes and skin, so the residents’ association has asked, “for your security and so that the work may be performed properly”, that people avoid walking or being outside during the fumigation and to keep doors and windows shut while the fumigation is taking place. You should also take precautions while driving, they say.
They conclude, “For any incident that may occur during the treatment or for any information, please call one of the following numbers: Anticimex on 666 548 916 [or the] National Institute of Toxicology on 915 620 420.”
