Summer adventures with Taquilla Tickets
Five unforgettable trips through the Region of Murcia and beyond
If you’re looking to make the most of your summer in the sun,
Taquilla Tickets has you covered. This local, family-run business has been organising fun, accessible trips for the English-speaking community in the Region of Murcia and beyond for more than seven years.
Whether you’re after a cultural day out, a touch of luxury or a full holiday, their summer 2025 line-up offers something for everyone.
Each trip is accompanied by a member of the Taquilla Tickets team and includes full Public Liability Insurance. Here’s a look at what’s coming up:
1. Wine tasting and tapas on the Mar Menor
Friday July 25

This brand new trip combines two fantastic experiences in one. It starts with a guided boat tour from
Los Alcázares through the
Mar Menor to the island of Perdiguera. On board, you’ll be treated to a tasting of five wines from the local Madrid Romero Bodega, four of which are paired with a delicious tapa.
After the tasting and your return to port, there’s free time to explore Los Alcázares and grab some lunch before heading back. The boat ride is 30 minutes out and 30 minutes back, with another leisurely hour to enjoy the wine and tapas.

A perfect way to spend a summer’s day.
2. Discover Cartagena
Tuesday July 29

One of the most historic and picturesque cities in the Region of Murcia,
Cartagena is packed with things to see and do. On this exciting trip, you’ll have the chance to discover some of the city’s most iconic sights at your own pace.
History lovers can visit the spectacular Roman Theatre, which was only discovered in 1990. Built in the 1st century BC during the reign of Emperor Augustus, it once seated 6,000 spectators and is one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. For panoramic views, take a ride on the elevator that connects the port to the Castillo de la Concepción.

You’ll also have plenty of time to relax and explore. Stroll through the elegant Heroes of Cavite and Cuba square, enjoy a drink by the waterfront or shop and wander through the historic streets of the city centre. With countless cafés, bars, restaurants and boutiques to discover, there’s something for everyone.
This trip includes return coach travel and is accompanied by the Taquilla Tickets team, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the day knowing everything is taken care of.
3. Flamenco and equestrian dinner show
Wednesday August 6 and Saturday August 23

Prepare to be amazed at
Villa Salada near
Torrevieja with an unforgettable evening of music, horses and Spanish culture. This exclusive show combines powerful flamenco dancing with a breathtaking equestrian performance.
Guests also enjoy a three-course dinner as part of the evening. It’s a true celebration of traditional Spain and not to be missed.

4. Altea fireworks night
Saturday August 9

Another new addition this year, this trip takes you to one of the most magical nights of the summer. Altea’s Castell de l’Olla fireworks display is famous across southern Spain for its unique setting, launched entirely from platforms floating 300 metres out at sea.
Pack a chair and a picnic and get ready for a late night under the stars with a truly spectacular view. The coach will arrive in time to find a spot on the beach before the show begins around 11.30pm.
The return home will be pretty late so this trip is definitely one for the night owls!
5. Gibraltar mini break
September 1 to 4

If you fancy a proper break before summer ends, this four-day coach trip to Gibraltar is the perfect choice. The tour includes three nights at the comfortable four-star Ohtels Campo de Gibraltar, located just across the Spanish side of the border, giving you easy access to both Gibraltar and the surrounding
Costa del Sol.
On day one, you'll travel by coach and arrive at the hotel in La Línea at around 3.30pm. The rest of the day is yours to relax at the hotel, stroll into Gibraltar or even take a short taxi ride to Benalmádena.

Days two and three are completely free for you to explore. Walk across the border and enjoy everything Gibraltar has to offer, from tax-free shopping and British-style pubs to iconic attractions like the Rock of Gibraltar, St Michael’s Cave and the cheeky Barbary macaques. Or, if you prefer a change of scenery, head out to discover more of the Costa del Sol.
On day four, you’ll have the morning to relax before checking out of the hotel by noon. The coach will leave for home at 3pm.
You can choose from bed and breakfast, half board or full board options depending on how much flexibility you’d like with meals. The trip includes return coach travel, accommodation and is accompanied throughout by the Taquilla Tickets team, who will be on hand to help with anything you need. As always, Public Liability Insurance is included.
It’s a great way to extend the summer, enjoy a few days away and explore somewhere new at your own pace.
