Condado Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on Condado Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?

How much does it cost?

November 9 to 30, Cehegín en su punto, gastronomy and hiking in the north-west of Murcia!
Show cooking, country hikes and plenty of good company as you taste the autumn in Cehegín
This autumn the Town Hall and the local Trade and Hospitality association of Cehegín in the north-west of Murcia is organizing a series of events which bring together the joys of nature, gastronomy and other sensorial experiences under the title of “Cehegín en su Punto”.
The events included in this November season are the following:
Sunday November 9
A day of nature and good food in the natural beauty spot of El Escobar including a hearty rural lunch at Restaurante La Almazara. Registration costs 35 euros (including the visit, the hike and the food) and is open by telephone on 685 096958.
Weekends of November 15-16 and 22-23
Locally picked wild mushrooms are the stars of the show at local restaurants as the put together special autumn menus. Those taking part are Restaurante El Sol, El Casino de Felymar, Restaurante Utopía, Restaurante La Almazara and Restaurante Matavinos.
Sunday November 16
A cookery workshop at the Escuela del Vino led by David López, chef at the renowned Local de Ensayo in Murcia, beginning at 12.00. Sr López will be showing how wild mushrooms can be best used in menus, and the event also includes tastings of some of his dishes with beer provided by Estrella de Levante.

Thursday November 20
20.00: An event described as “workshop of eroticism and wine” (!), held by Bodegas Carreño at the Escuela del Vino. The idea is to discover how the different senses increase feelings of desire, and how the nuances of different wines can be enjoyed in different atmospheres.

Sunday November 23
12.00: Show cooking featuring wild mushrooms and the cut of meat known as “secretos” at the Escuela del Vino, led by Antonio Carlos Nicolás. The event includes tastings of some of his dishes with beer provided by Estrella de Levante.

Sunday November 30
A hike in the hills of El Coto de las Maravillas followed by lunch at Restaurante Matavinos, a perfect combination of nature, gastronomy and conviviality!
