article_detailDate Published: 02/05/2024ARCHIVED ARTICLE -Murcia weather forecast May 2-5: Hotting up for the weekend
No more rain is forecast for the rest of the week in the Region of Murcia
Murcia weather forecast, Sunday May 5The first fortnight of April brought us almost summery weather, with temperatures reaching around 35ºC at one point during the middle of the month – more like what we normally see in June! Then, in the second fortnight of April, these high temperatures began to ease off down to normal levels for the time of year. This week there have been rainstorms and colder weather, and this Monday just gone the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) even activated a yellow warning in a large part of the Region of Murcia for heavy rainfall. However, from this Wednesday afternoon the rains have started to disappear completely, leaving clear skies from this Thursday May 2 onwards. For the weekend, Aemet says the probability of rainfall is 0% and a negligible 5% for Saturday May 4.Maximum temperatures during the day will be on the rise – Friday 3 will already bring temps of up to 25ºC, especially in central Murcia, and Saturday will be even hotter, getting close to 30ºC.Of course, it will cool down at night. In the early hours of Saturday morning, the forecast is for minimum temperatures of 8-12ºC, but on Sunday May 5 the minimum will be 11-16ºC.During the day on Sunday, it could get up to 33ºC in the centre and north of the Region, but will be more like 25-29ºC on the coast, with sunshine and some light cloud cover. For next week, temperatures will stay high, but not quite as high as they are on Sunday, and on Monday there is a slight chance of rainfall around Mula, Caravaca and the northwest.>>> See our Weather & Climate page or follow our Murcia Weather Watch Facebook group for more weather updates <<<Image: Aemet
