Murcia consolidates its position as a premium destination with 'Empire of Golf', the new golf tourism platform

The new website aims to promote the Region of Murcia's great golf courses and competitions as well as its cultural and gastronomic riches

The Association of Golf Businessmen of the Region of Murcia (Aegolf-RM) has launched a new digital platform called 'Empire of Golf' which integrates the main golf courses in the Region of Murcia with the main tourist attractions, including cultural and gastronomic experiences.

The platform is part of a comprehensive strategy that includes a new brand identity, international campaigns and an advanced automation and CRM system.

The president of Aegolf-RM, Enrique Herrero, said, "The Region of Murcia offers much more than sun and beach. With Empire of Golf, we will communicate to the world our strengths: first class golf courses, an exceptional tourist infrastructure and an incomparable cultural and gastronomic richness."

The site is designed to attract mainly British and Nordic tourists, key markets for golfing tourism in Murcia. Through the website, visitors will be able to explore, personalise and book experiences that combine the sport with other leisure activities.

The initiative is part of the Plan for the Reactivation of the Golf Sector in the Region of Murcia, promoted by the tourist board, the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia (ITREM).

In addition, the new digital strategy will include a powerful international marketing campaign that will be deployed over the course of this year, highlighting the more than 300 days of sunshine a year and the first-class infrastructures that the Region has to offer.
