Mazarron roads transformed as complete Urbano makeover unveiled
Three major roadways and several smaller streets in Mazarrón have received an upgrade
Three major Mazarrón roads, Avenida de Antonio Segado del Olmo, Avenida del Mar Mediterráneo and Calle Isla de Escombreras, along with several adjacent streets, have been completely transformed under the umbrella of the ‘Mazarrón Urbano’ project. This ambitious plan is focused on modernising the urban landscape and improving the driving experience for locals and visitors.
Celebrating the work which was completed this week, Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, stated that “we will continue to make Mazarrón Urbano a reality with the comprehensive arrangement of more areas” and added that “the end of these works and the road reform is another demonstration of the firm commitment to the change that the municipality needs.”
Mr Campillo further acknowledged the project’s tangible results in enhancing the municipality’s image. Jesús García, Councillor for Urban Planning and Infrastructure, echoed the sentiment, stressing the significance of rectifying road defects in Mazarrón’s avenues and streets.
The Mazarrón Urbano plan has been a key initiative for the Mazarrón Town Hall, seeking not only to improve the functionality and safety of its streets, but also to enhance the tourist and commercial attractiveness of the municipality.
The completion of these works is a significant step towards the complete revitalisation of the urban area of Mazarrón, marking a milestone in the continuous efforts to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants and the experience of its visitors.
