Los Alcázares making significant progress in comprehensive quality tourism plan
Local businesses and services are adhering to the local SICTED scheme in Los Alcázares
Los Alcázares is one of the many municipalities affiliated to Spain’s national SICTED project, the initials standing for Sistema Integral de Calidad Turística en Destinos (the Comprehensive System of Tourism Quality in Destinations), and on 19th November members of the town council and Town Hall staff met to analyse the progress made in this field so far.
At present there are 32 services adhered to the scheme, an increase of 20 over the figure last year, including the two tourist offices (in Los Alcázares and Los Narejos) and six beaches of the municipality.
Among the 9 special mentions this year are Hotel 525, Apartamentos 525, Animación y Aventura (all of them offering tourist accommodation), Virazón Charter, Cruceros Mar Menor and Taxi 10, while other services recognized by SICTED are La Encarnación Apartamentos Turísticos, Balneario San Antonio Restaurante, Chiringuito Teis, Animación y Aventura – Turismo Activo, Noemí Hamacas, Principado Center, the tourist offices and the beaches of Espejo, Los Narejos, Carrión, Manzanares, Espejo Sur and La Concha.
These are excellent results in a short space of time, and the Town Hall is committed to making still further improvements!
