June 1 A Través del Traverso woodwind recital in Mazarron
Historically accurate performances of Baroque music using the instruments of the 17th and 18th centuries
This latest event in the Crescendo Mazarrón season for 2024 features La Veu dels Traversos, a group of three woodwind musicians playing a selection of pieces by J.M. Hotteterre, J.B. Boismortier, J. J. Quantz and F. Devienne.
The stars of “A Través del Traverso” are young musicians Marta Aparisi, Pilar Ortín and Elisabet Segura, who choose their instruments so that they fit perfectly with the era in which each piece was conceived and composed in order to give a historically accurate rendition of the music. In this the music takes us back to the Baroque Age in the 17th and 18th centuries with pieces by Hotteterre, Boismortier, Quantz and Devienne, who wrote at a time when it was common to combine different preludes with different main pieces.
The concert at the Centro Cultural in Mazarrón on May 4 begins at 20.00.
