The 13th Wine and Tapas Route in Yecla is being held between 19th February and 13th March, with the price of a glass of the local D.O. Yecla wine and an appetizing snack set at just 5 euros in all the establishments taking part.
The bars and restaurants participating are Los Chispos, Candilejas, Tapeo, Olivo de Jaén, Pachamama, Bar Gaggia, Barrabás, Arrocería Brandy, Peña Taurina, Kasa Ortega, Bar Ideal, Tapeoteca and Bar La Bodega, while red, rosé and white wine are provided by Bodegas La Purísima, Señorío de Barahonda, Bodegas Castaño, Bodegas Evine and Bodegas Conde de Montornés. A map of all the establishments, complete with opening times and the tapas they are offering, can be found online here.
Passports and route maps can be picked up from any of the eateries and those collecting stamps proving they have ordered all of the requisite taps will be rewarded with a bottle of wine as well as becoming eligible for a prize draw in which the winners receive vouchers worth 200 euros or 60 euros to be spent in locales affiliated to the Yecla Wine Route.
Another draw is being held for those who enter a photography competition held for the duration of the route, the prizes on this occasion being three hampers containing products associated with the Wine Route. The photography competition is not yet open but details will appear online here.
Once the route is over a closing party is being held on Sunday 15th March in the Plaza del Industrial del Mueble, starting at 12.30.
