Córdoba burger wins Europe's top spot
Nolito's smash hit 'Blue Diamond' dazzles judges at The Champions Burger final
Forget the tapas bars of Seville or Málaga's trendy spots. The best burger in Europe 2025 hails from a little gem in Córdoba province. Nolito's in Puente Genil triumphed at the grand final of 'The Champions Burger' in Barcelona, where 32 top contenders from Spain, Germany, Andorra, Italy, Portugal, the UK and Sweden battled it out.Their winning creation, 'Blue Diamond', stole the show with a stunning blue brioche bun dusted with diamond dust and rose gold accents. Inside you'll find matured fat smash beef, American rib, bacon jam, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, smoky mayo and a secret Emmy sauce.
"The best-selling 'smash burger' in Spain and internationally recognised. It's conquering multiple cities as the best 'smash burger'," boasts Nolito's website proudly. The burger has already scooped awards in Paris, San Fernando, Lleida, Gijón, Cartagena, Alicante, Mijas, Castellón and Algeciras.
Not bad for a restaurant tucked away at 6 Plaza Emilio Reina in Puente Genil. They weren't the only Córdoba success story either. Godeo grabbed second place with 'Royale Gold', a decadent stack on artisan brioche with edible gold, featuring ribeye steak, pastrami, smoked cheese, 48-hour slow-cooked beef rib, smoked sour cream, cured beef jam, Emmy sauce and bacon bits.Nolito's is clearly doing something right. Their 'Blue Diamond' doesn't just taste amazing, it looks like a million euros too. Smash burgers have been taking Spain by storm, and now they've gone continental. If you're in the area, Plaza Emilio Reina is calling your name.
Who needs Michelin stars when you've got diamond dust and rose gold on your burger? Córdoba's food scene just got a whole lot more exciting.
