Costa Blanca to get October heatwave: Alicante weather forecast October 20-23

Steep rise in temperatures may reach as high as 35ºC in places

Thursday's remarkable predicted maximum and minimum temperatures

This week brings an unexpected return of summer-like conditions to Alicante province, according to state meteorological agency Aemet.

The heat is expected arrive in the south on Tuesday, then to move northwards peaking on Thursday.

Nighttime lows are also predicted to rise to tropical levels (over 20ºC), before starting to drop again on Friday.
