An expat property owner in Mula has decided on a rather unusual way of selling her house in Spain and moving back home after 20 years of living in the north-western Murcia countryside.
The owner isn’t going to sell her home the traditional way using an estate agent... instead she is giving people the chance to win the three-bedroomed house in a raffle, as well as a cash prize of 15,000 euros!
For just 28 euros (25 pounds) per ticket, anyone could have a shot at winning the idyllic Spanish villa, with spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The property has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and a large open-plan lounge and dining room.In addition to a front garden, a side garden and a large patio/BBQ area at the back of the property, one of the more unique features of the house is that it comes with its own cave, which can be used as a bodega for wine-lovers or a play area for children.
Located in the hills above the historic town of Mula, the home is also prepared for all weather, with air conditioning throughout the property to combat the sweltering heat during the summer and a beautiful fireplace in the lounge for the colder winter months.The lucky raffle winner will be able to enjoy all of the cultural and natural elements on offer in Mula, such as the river, natural springs and a number of important archaeological sites from Prehistoric times, as well as everything that the city of Murcia has to offer, as the capital of the region is located just a 30-minute drive away.
By buying a raffle ticket, participants will also be contributing to a good cause, as 5% of all proceeds will split between the Spanish and Irish Cancer Societies.
