The Playa del Rihuete in Puerto de Mazarrón is the venue for the 32nd annual Fuente Álamo triathlon which is being held on Saturday April 27 over “sprint” distances of a 750-metre swim, a 25-km cycle race and a 5-km run.
The rules and regulations can be found online at trifuentealamo.es while registration is open for the numerous age groups and categories here.
Among the event starting times are the following:
16.45: Women’s elite
17.00: Men’s elite
17.15: Men’s veterans (4 age groups)
17.30: Men’s youth (various age groups).
The event starts on the beach of Rihuete and the two transition areas are on the beach itself and then in Fuente Álamo, at the end of the cycle ride.
