Apply before end of June for money to make your house in Mazarron energy efficient
Publication of new aid for the rehabilitation of properties, the submission period for these grants will be open until June 30, 2024
On April 9, Mazarrón Mayor, Ginés Campillo and Councillor for Urban Planning, Gaspar Miras Lorente, reported on the new aid acquired by the Mazarrón Town Council within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed with European Next Generation funds.
This subsidy, which began at the end of 2020 and was accepted by the Town Council and the Regional Government, has the main objective of rehabilitation of homes in the Mazarrón municipality. The councilmen were pleased to announce that, after the signing and approval of the agreement at the end of 2023, the aid is now available for definitive access.
The beneficiaries of this aid are individuals, community of owners, groups of community of owners, housing associations and legal entities who own properties in the municipality of Mazarrón. The works to be financed focus on the rehabilitation of buildings throughout the municipality, especially in the two main urban centers: Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarrón. The total amount of the subsidy is 425,891 euros.
The work that must be carried out in homes and buildings should be focused on reducing dependence on fossil materials and energy consumption. All works that contribute to the improvement of energy efficiency will be financed, with special attention to the building infrastructure, provided that a 30% decrease is achieved in the non-renewable primary energy consumption indicator, according to the energy certification.
The application submission period opened at the beginning of April and will be valid until June 30, 2024. Applications must be submitted through the electronic headquarters of the Mazarrón City Council. In addition, the email address urbanismo@mazarron.es has been enabled for questions and assistance. A technician will be available at the Urban Planning offices to provide in-person help to those who need it.
In the words of the urban planning councillor "this is a unique opportunity to carry out energy optimisation works and obtain a more efficient and sustainable energy certification throughout the municipality of Mazarrón."
For his part, Mayor Campillo encouraged citizens to present projects and information to be eligible for these grants.
All the details, including application forms, are available for detailed consultation on the website and electronic headquarters of Mazarrón Town Council, as well as in the publication in the Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM) last week.
