ARCHIVED - Camposol 2025 group collect warm clothes and bedding for victims caught in Ukraine conflict
Residents of Camposol and surrounding area generously donate to those caught in the ongong conflict in Ukraine
As the conflict in Ukraine nears the end of its first year and the bitter winter temperatures take hold, volunteers from the Camposol 2025 group reinstated the collection point at the Camposol social centre for the month of January to support the people of Ukraine and collect items of warm clothing and bedding.
The generosity of local people was again exceptional and several car loads of supplies were delivered to the Ukrainian group in the Puerto de Mazarrón and then taken directly to Ukraine. The images shown were received by the Camposol 2025 group from the delivery drivers distributing the goods in Odessa. This initiative follows on from the group being asked to set up the collection point on behalf of Mazarrón Council at the social centre on Camposol in March last year.
For anyone wishing to donate warm clothing and bedding, the Ukrainian collection point at the loading bay end of the indoor market in Puerto de Mazarrón remains open and deliveries of donations may be made between 10am and noon on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
